Today was my final day here in Amman. We had a few things to do this morning, but
for the most part we had a very relaxing day. The problem is that at the pace i've been going at the past 7 days, the fatigue has caught up with me.
After doing some business in the morning, we went to a couple of malls here in Amman. One is called "Mecca Mall." The other is "City Mall." I was really surprised to see how modern this place was. The shops look very much like some of the shops in the states. Especially when you think about how conservative they can be around here, it was definitely a surprise.
We even saw a couple of play places for kids. It was pretty cool. On the top floor of the "City Mall" there was a huge game room, a 12 theaters, a bowling alley, a 4-D theater Bumper cars and Go carts. It was pretty cool.
This evening we went back to the mall to get Swarmeah. It is a chicken wrap type of thing.
It was very good. When we arrived it was swarming with people. The kids were walking around and excited. You could tell that this was a happening place.
As I watched them I could see so many personalities that I could recognize from people in the states it was almost funny. And as I watched them I realized again how "normal" these people are. They are certainly different in a lot of ways, but they are just people. And most of those differences would be for the better.
